Scour: Get paid to search

July 27, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

We all use search engines. Most of us use either Google or Yahoo! for whatever we want to search. Why not make money while doing so? Is it possible? Absolutely.

Scour is a meta search engine which collates results from Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. You get points for each search that you carry out. Each search gets you 1 point.

Once you reach 6,500 points, you can redeem it for a $25 VISA gift card. It might not be much, but at least its $25 more than any other search engine ;-)

You can add comments to search results and make additional points on it.

Make money like Yaro

June 16, 2008

Click here to get The Blog Profits Blueprint

Do you want to learn how to make over $5000 per month? Learn from Yaro Starak, an expert in the online world! He makes over $5000 per month from his blog alone.

Some time back he started a mentoring program where he teaches others on how to do the same. I’m sure you have heard of BlogMasterMind.

The program is less than $100 a month to become a member and you get direct access to your own blog mentor, plus all kinds of audios, videos and e-lessons to help you make money from your own blog.

Spending $100 per month to earn many times that amount sounds well worth it!

SocialSpark is open for business!

June 14, 2008

SocialSpark is open for business! It is a new venture from IZEA, the same guys behind PayPerPost. You might be wondering if this is yet another paid to blog website? Yes! It is. But it aims at fixing a lot of things that PayPerPost was criticized for. For one, the following code of ethics:

  • 100% Auditable In-Post Disclosure
  • 100% Transparency
  • 100% Real Opinions
  • 100% Search Engine Friendly

I signed up for SocialSpark a long time back, but never really got the opportunity to explore the website until today. In fact, this also happens to be my first paid post using the SocialSpark system.

Unlike PayPerPost, all links are “nofollow”, hence you should not face the wrath of the search engine giants!

A page from SocialSpark is shown below:

When you bid for a particular post, and the bid is accepted by the advertiser, you get a window of 12 hours to submit the post. Blogs are ranked based on IZEAs own ranking algorithm called IZEA Rank. They do not follow Google PageRank any longer.

There are three types of opportunities available on SocialSpark:

  1. Sponsored Post: This is similar to what is available at PayPerPost. Basically, you bid for a particular opportunity and give a reason why you think you deserve to write about it. If accepted, you would need to write the blog post based on the requirements of the opportunity.
  2. Blog Sponsorship: Advertisers pay you to run ads on your blog. The advertiser pays per day the ads run on your blog.
  3. Spark: These are free opportunities that most bloggers would tend to use. A good use is to have bloggers exchange reviews of their blogs with each other.

Making Money using Entrecard

March 1, 2008

entrecard.pngEntrecard just graduated from being a mere “banner exchange/drop” program, to one where you can make money online. The soon to be launched feature also you to sell or buy credits for real cash! Entrecard currently has over 5000 blogs in its network and its growing quite rapidly.

The trading feature is just going to take Entrecard into another level. You will see card-droppers getting more active so that they can earn more credits in exchange for cash! Along with that will come more traffic to your blog, and the bounce rate will increase even further!

bux.to: 2nd Week Update

February 19, 2008

bux.toIts been around two weeks since I started using bux.to and its time to report how I’m fairing on that website.

Since the last report, I’ve upgraded my account to a Premium Membership and have bought a referral package as well. The daily earnings is currently averaging about $35/day. This is quite impressive considering that only a few minutes needs to be spent on the site daily.

Premium Membership has a multitude of benefits:

  • You get an additional $0.0025 per click. This looks small but adds up to an additional $0.01 per 4 sites visited. It’s like the 5th click came for free. This is the amount you get paid for clicks from your referrals as well. Depending on the number of referrals you’ve got, this ’small amount’ can make a big impact on how much you earn.
  • Not just that, Premium Membership also ensures you get to click at least 20 ads per day. In fact, since the upgrade, I’m averaging in excess of 40 per day. This is in comparison to about 15/day for a Standard account.

The benefits can easily be seen from the above.

Sign-up for bux.to. The service seems to be quite legit.

AdToll launches PeelAwayAds

February 14, 2008

It seems today is the day for me to write more about PeelAwayAds! A few minutes ago, I had written about the free version of PeelAwayAds script.

I read a post on ShoeMoney about the launch of PeelAwayAds support at AdToll. PeelAwayAds is still a very new concept and going thru a service like AdToll can help you get advertisers faster. They pay on a CPC basis only. AdToll pays on a CPC basis for network ads, and on a fixed cost basis for sponsored ads.

I’ve decided to give this a try for a few weeks to see its performance and benefit.

This is also the first time I’m trying AdToll on this blog.

Free Version of PeelAwayAds

February 14, 2008

peelawayads.pngDo you like the Peel Away Ads you see on the top right-hand corner of this site? Its a non-obtrusive way of incorporating advertisements on your website.

I had written about PeelAwayAds in December ‘07. That particular version is sold for $37. Thanks to Blog Dahh Net, I have realized that there is a free version of the script available as well. Why pay, when you can get the same thing for free!

Head over to WebPicasso to download Pageear, the free version of Peel Away Ads.

First Week Report: bux.to and DailyClicks

February 3, 2008

bux-to.png

bux.to and DailyClicks are paid to surf ads program. I signed up 4 days ago just to evaluate them, and here is a report with true numbers. I’ve signed up as a “Free” member currently on both websites. Upgraded members earn more per click. Let me present the stats first:

bux.to Stats:
buxto-stats.png

DailyClicks Stats:
dailyclicks-stats.png

How much time am I spending on these sites? Not more than 5 minutes a day to earn a total of about $4.7. To be honest, these programs make sense to make money online only if you have a large referral base. The real money will come from there and not the clicks that you generate on your own!

If you want to try out these programs, here are the links with my referral id for you to sign up:

WordPress Plugin for BritePic

January 28, 2008

britepic_logo.gifAdBrite launched BritePic, a monetization service for images, last year, which enabled you to have ads being shown on images on your blog or website.

The biggest pain point was the fact that for a blog, you have to manually replace all images you have in your post with their JavaScript code to “BritePic” the image. This is just too much of an effort due to which I stopped using it completely. The code looked like:

<script>

britepic_id="id";

britepic_src="< == ENTER IMAGE URL == >";

</script>

<script src="http://www.britepic.com/britepic.js"></script>

<noscript></noscript>

So, how can its usage be simplified? What if someone comes up with a plugin that looks for images in posts, and BritePic’s them? Sounds doable doesn’t it?

I have started working on this on my own and the plugin should be launched shortly (as beta!). This will be my first WordPress plugin.

This will be a simple way to start making money from images on your blog posts.

If someone knows of a plugin that already does this, do let me know. I will not waste my time reinventing the wheel.
