Payment received from bux.to!

June 29, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

After having written a post calling bux.to a scam, guess what happened today. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the $10 cashout on my AlertPay account that I had requested for months ago. I really don’t know what to say right now. Is bux.to a scam or not?

I’ve shown a portion of the AlertPay transaction below, which proves that the payment was received.

I’ve now gone ahead and made a big cash withdrawal request on bux.to which runs into a few thousand dollars. Let’s wait and watch to see if I receive this amount.

Bux.to = Scam

June 14, 2008

Well….I never thought I would say this, but after having evaluated bux.to over the last few months, I’m now switching sides. I am calling bux.to a SCAM as well.

A small $10 cashout has been delayed by over 2 months. Now, if they cannot pay that small an amount, there is surely something wrong.

I would recommend all those who are currently using this website, to stop dreaming of ever getting a cashout.

I’m surprised they have been able to pull off such a big scam without being taken down completely.

BUX.TO = SCAM.

UPDATE: I received the bux.to payment finally! Read more about it.

Is bux.to a scam?

March 18, 2008

bux-toI read a post yesterday on TechCrunch, which called bux.to a scam. Their source for the news is a Twitter update from Chris Pirillo, who has claimed that he has not been paid over $3000 till date.

I am not the right person to say if bux.to is indeed a scam or not. All, I’ll do is mention a few points based on the TechCrunch post:

  1. TechCrunch called bux.to a “Pyramid Scheme” . This is completely inaccurate. You get paid for only one level of referrals. Not more than that. This does not make bux.to a pyramid scheme where those at the “top”, make all the money. Its another story that pyramid schemes are not sustainable.
  2. I don’t know if Chris has a standard or a premium account. I say this because, bux.to typically pays after 60 days for standard accounts and after 30 days for premium accounts. Based on his Twitter post, I guess he has a premium account, but I am not sure of that.
  3. To call bux.to a fraud based one just one Twitter post, might be too harsh in my opinion.

Well, I am a little biased towards bux.to, because I too have a lot of money yet to be encashed from them! A lot of readers from Online Presence signed up under my account, and I have been averaging a minimum of $20/day to highs of over $35/day on some occasions. You can imagine, that that is quite a bit of money every month.

I’m hoping against hope, that TechCrunch is not right this time! ;-)

bux.to: 2nd Week Update

February 19, 2008

bux.toIts been around two weeks since I started using bux.to and its time to report how I’m fairing on that website.

Since the last report, I’ve upgraded my account to a Premium Membership and have bought a referral package as well. The daily earnings is currently averaging about $35/day. This is quite impressive considering that only a few minutes needs to be spent on the site daily.

Premium Membership has a multitude of benefits:

  • You get an additional $0.0025 per click. This looks small but adds up to an additional $0.01 per 4 sites visited. It’s like the 5th click came for free. This is the amount you get paid for clicks from your referrals as well. Depending on the number of referrals you’ve got, this ’small amount’ can make a big impact on how much you earn.
  • Not just that, Premium Membership also ensures you get to click at least 20 ads per day. In fact, since the upgrade, I’m averaging in excess of 40 per day. This is in comparison to about 15/day for a Standard account.

The benefits can easily be seen from the above.

Sign-up for bux.to. The service seems to be quite legit.

First Week Report: bux.to and DailyClicks

February 3, 2008

bux-to.png

bux.to and DailyClicks are paid to surf ads program. I signed up 4 days ago just to evaluate them, and here is a report with true numbers. I’ve signed up as a “Free” member currently on both websites. Upgraded members earn more per click. Let me present the stats first:

bux.to Stats:
buxto-stats.png

DailyClicks Stats:
dailyclicks-stats.png

How much time am I spending on these sites? Not more than 5 minutes a day to earn a total of about $4.7. To be honest, these programs make sense to make money online only if you have a large referral base. The real money will come from there and not the clicks that you generate on your own!

If you want to try out these programs, here are the links with my referral id for you to sign up:

Paid to Surf Programs

January 24, 2008

surf.jpgI had covered bux.to in a post yesterday and another one called Hits4Pay a while back. While browsing through the bux.to forums, I came across some other similar programs:

DailyClicks

DailyClicks offers payouts that are not as competitive as bux.to. Free members are paid $0.01 for every ad they view. Free members also get $0.0050 for every referral click while upgraded members get $0.01 for every referral click.

PaidBux

PaidBux has payouts similar to bux.to free member accounts.

I’m sure there are tons of other similar sites.

If you can manage to take out about 30 minutes from your daily schedule, sign up for bux.to, DailyClicks, and PaidBux and earn some easy money. Don’t expect miracles please. These are not get-rich-quick-and-easy programs!

Get paid to surf ads using bux.to

January 23, 2008

bux-to.pngbux.to seems to be quite a popular paid-to-surf ads program. The process requires you to click a link and view a website for 30 seconds to earn money. You can earn even more by referring friends. You’ll get paid $0.01 for each website you personally view and $0.01 for each website your referrals view. Payment requests can be made every day and are processed through PayPal. The minimum payout is $10.00.

What makes it even more interesting is the fact that you can buy various referral packages that can enable you to jump start your earning capability. All the referrals come with a ‘replacement guarantee’.

There are several forums where bux.to users have shown proof of payment.

An example of potential earnings for 100 active referrals (based on averages):

  • 100 referrals click 10 ads per day = $10.00
  • Your daily earnings = $10.00
  • Your weekly earnings = $70.00
  • Your monthly earnings = $300.00

Well, if you can spare 10 minutes each day on bux.to you may earn money from it, as described above. It all depends on how many referrals you can bring into your network.

What do you think? Will such programs be successful in the long run? Can users really earn significant amount from such websites?
