The Page Recommender Widget displays links to other pages on your site and links to Amazon products – both tailored to each individual visitor’s interests. Google retiring AdSense referrals from August ‘08

We are seeing some changes to the AdSense program after the DoubleClick acquisition by Google. Google is going to be discontinuing the AdSense referral program in the last week of August ‘08. Instead of this, they will adopt the “DoubleClick Performics Affiliate Network” as a replacement.
An excerpt from their email:
Why is this happening? We’re constantly looking for ways to improve AdSense by developing
and supporting features which drive the best monetization results for our publishers. Sometimes, this requires retiring existing features so we can focus our efforts on the ones that will be most effective in the long term. For this reason, we will be retiring the AdSense Referrals program.
