WordPress 2.6.3 released

October 24, 2008

WordPress 2.6.3 has been released today with a fix in the Snoopy library.

This is a low risk vulnerability, but I would still highly recommend that you go ahead and upgrade your existing 2.6.2 installation with this release.

The good part is that only 2 files need to be replaced if you want to do a quick upgrade.

AdBrite lays off 40% of its staff

October 17, 2008

AdBrite, one of the leading web advertising platforms,  is layoff off 40% of its staff as reported by TechCrunch.

I use AdBrite extensively on many of my websites, and this is indeed sad news for me.

Many blogs use Lijit as the search engine on their blogs but there was no way to monetize this compared to something like Google Custom Search Engine.

Lijit has answered back with the announcement of their Ad Network that will enable publishers to earn a share of their ad revenue as well.

Existing Lijit Users: To start capturing your share of revenue from the Lijit Ad Network, log in to your Lijit account and at the top right of your profile page, click the “Start Now” button.
