Smorty launches Digxa Mini Stores

May 21, 2008

I received an email from Smorty today announcing the launch of their Digxa Mini Store. An excerpt from their email:

Publish contextual click through advertising on your blog with Digxa Mini Stores. This customizable solution allows you to place both standard and pop up product banners from related words within your posts. For example, the words “mobile phone” may generate a visible link that pops open a banner advertising a “mobile phone” if the visitor places their mouse over it. If this product is clicked on, you will receive a commission ranging up to $0.60.

You get the option of customizable banners and rollover pop-up ads, similar to Kontera ContentLinks. I have not yet evaluated this service, hence I’m not in a position to comment on how good it is. I’ll try and cover that in a future post.

3rd-Party ads now available on the Google content network

May 21, 2008

Google has recently made a change that allows third party ads to be shown on their network. As per their blog post:

The Google content network now accepts display ads served from qualified third-party vendors. Third-party ad serving has been a longstanding request from top brand AdWords advertisers who use third parties to create and manage their online campaigns. Initially, we will be only accepting third-party ads in English, but we hope to expand to other languages soon.

You need to ensure that you have image ads enabled for your site to take advantage of this feature.

Kontera WordPress Plugin

May 7, 2008

Kontera

Kontera has come up with an enhanced plugin for WordPress to make it easier for all bloggers using WordPress to integrate Kontera ContentLinks.

From their blog post:

The Kontera plugin enables you to:

  • Insert the ContentLinkā„¢ tag into all your pages.
  • Block ads from particular posts or categories.
  • Decide when Contentlinks will appear on new posts.
  • Block ContentLinks from comments.

For those who are new to ContentLinks, it is an in-text advertisement service that can enable publishers (bloggers) to earn a substantial amount of money. It does not occupy any page real-estate and provides the ads when you hover over a link.

May 6, 2008

I’m leaving a short post here to inform all those who haven’t yet visited KapNuz to go check it out. The site which is still under Alpha Testing, now has the latest buzz under 14 different topics. At least another 50 topics will be up by the end of the month! And a lot of new features will be available too.

My favourite topic currently happens to be the one on the Latest Tech News.

As always, subscribe to the KapNuz Blog to get the latest updates.

Got back a bit of my PageRank!

May 5, 2008

Online Presence today got back a “bit” of its earlier lost Page Rank. Its currently showing a PR2 in Google Toolbar.

A couple of months back the blog was “reset” to PR0, for writing a handful of paid reviews, primarily from PayPerPost.

I’m not sure what has resulted in a change of mind at Google, but thanks anyway! I hope it gets back to its PR4 ranking and higher in the coming months.
