The Best of Online Presence in 2007

Let me start off with wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

The Online Presence Blog started off in February 2007 as a hobby project but has been making me good money.

Given below are the 10 most popular posts from Online Presence in 2007:

4. A large collection of WordPress Themes: Provides a consolidated list of themes available for WordPress across the blogosphere.
5. Increase traffic on your blogs: Covers some basic concepts on building traffic.
6. My Top 5 WordPress Plugins: The topic says it all!
7. MyBlogLog Vs BlogCatalog Vs BUMPzee: A 4-part series which was extremely popular amongst members of each of these social communities. Read Part 1, 2, 3, and 4 here.
8. WPAds: Have control over your ads: Covers the WPAds plugin.
9. Improving popularity of your blog: Covers some concepts on how to make your blog more popular.
10. Analytics for your Blog: A consolidated list of various analytics services that you can use for your blog.

One post which surprisingly ranked #3 in terms of visits is a post on AdvertCube, since the post ranks #3 on the first page of Google for the term AdvertCube. I left it out of the top 10 though!

I also launched the first 2 contests on this blog in December ‘07. The first of which (The No Effort $100 Contest) has officially ended. I will be announcing the winner shortly. For those who did not participate in the contest, head over to the Agile Blogger Contest.

Statistics

• The blog has had 273 posts in 2007 and averages about 300 unique visitors daily. This is not much to brag about, but I do see the traffic increasing slowly!
• Technorati ranked the blog at 49,202 with an authority of 128.
• Alexa ranked the website at 105,000.
• The blog along with the BlogSailor network has made me significant money in 2007, keeping in line with the “Make Money Online” theme. I am hoping to disclose the actual numbers soon.
• The blog ranks #2 in Google for the term “Online Presence“.
• Akismet has helped me eliminate over 10,000 spam comments.
