Snap Shots has been hugely popular and can be seen on several websites now. Today I received an email from Snap mentioning that all popups would now have advertisements shown. Rather than coming up with their own ad serving technology, they have partnered with Google and will be showing AdSense advertisements.
Just not that, the benefit for bloggers and website administrators is that they are going to share revenues as well. You need to “migrate” your Snap account and activate “Snap Shares”. You will need to provide your AdSense Publisher Id so that you get paid for advertisements shown. I am not sure what the revenue sharing model is going to be like, but this is yet another method now to make money online. Nice going Snap!
Given below is an excerpt from their email:
With Snap Shares, we share a portion of the advertising inventory within the Snap Shots with you so that you can:
- Have Google serve ads via your Adsense account
- Display your own ads
- Give your share to charities such as Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, etc.
We’ve decided to partner with Google (and soon others) because we don’t have the resources to properly administer this type of program and they do. It also means that you won’t have to deal with a new team and a new set of rules and regulations regarding your advertising payments.
