August 2007 Roundup

I’ve been taking a break from this blog in the last few weeks. The reason being that I’ve been quite busy on getting YPOPs!, back on track. YPOPs! is an open-source software that provides free POP3 and SMTP access to Yahoo! Mail. I am the main developer for this project. I have been very busy trying to get this back on track in the last few weeks and that resulted in absolutely no time being available for me to devote to blogging :-(

In any case, I think I need to do some justice to this blog as well. So here comes a list of my best posts from August 2007. The list is chosen based on how popular the posts where in terms of page loads, comments, etc.

• Get your own Blog Theme! brings about the importance of having a unique blog theme of your own rather than the standard WP themes that are freely available. You need to differentiate yourself from the crowd.
• Get to know 8 useful ways of improving the popularity of your blog. Some of the techniques mentioned in the post have not been covered by other blogs having similar posts.
• You must know your target audience. That is key to building a successful website. One way of getting to know them is by running a good analytics software.
• Get to know my favorite 5 WordPress Plugins. Many of these will make blogging simpler for you.
