A while back, I had written a post about mGinger, an Indian company focusing on giving a new channel to cell phone users for making money — their phones! Basically, they would push advertisements to the phone and the users would be paid for it. mGinger is still very much in its infancy since it does not have a large advertiser base right now. The highest single earning till date is Rs. 99.40/- which is next to nothing with total combined earnings standing at only Rs. 72,462. Given stiff competition to mGinger, we have another two similar services in India: m-earn and AdMAD.

m-earn

The monetization model in m-earn is:

• Get 25p for every SMS you receive
• Get 10p on every SMS your buddies receive
• Get 5p on every SMS their friends receive
• Get 3p on every SMS their friends receive

AdMAD

The monetization model in AdMAD is:

• Get 20 paise for each SMS you receive
• Get 15 paise for each SMS your friends receive
• Get 10 paise for each SMS their friends receive
• Get 5 paise for each SMS their friends receive
• Get 1 paisa for each SMS their friends receive
