Where does your traffic originate from?

Online Presence has been around for a few months focusing on Making Money Online. I thought of analyzing the traffic trends to see where most visitors come from. I have been doing this for a while, but thought of sharing a bit of it with you today…

The list on the left is the top sources of traffic for me this week as per Google Analytics.

Social Networking sites like MyBlogLog, Digg, BumpZee, Technorati, and BlogCatalog do bring in a lot of traffic for me.

StumbleUpon does seem to have a viral effect with spikes in traffic on many days. This could be because someone liked a post and stumbled it and it just spread virally on that day. As a result of that, I’ve decided to enable the StumbleUpon It! plugin in an attempt to see if this brings in more traffic from StumbleUpon.

Commenting on high traffic blogs has also been a source of traffic for me. Sites like WebWorkerDaily, DoshDosh, ProBlogger, amongst others, brings in sizable traffic for me also.

In all, if you’re really interested in making your blog popular, ensure that you market your blog. Go out there and visit blogs in the same niche, and make practical comments on their posts. You’re surely going to be returned a favour by this in the long run!!
