BritePic: Any luck with this?

Adbrite has a new medium for making reviews — photographs!!

Yes! You heard me right. The service is called BritePic and you can embed advertisements in your photographs. It seems to be an interesting service and a great concept in my opinion to generate additional revenue.

The feature also allows you to share the photograph, zoom in/out, etc.

I’ve incorporated some “BritePic’s” on this site. In fact, the image below of their page is a BritePic.

What I fail to see so far is the advertisement itself!! They use a flash plugin to achieve this but I’m yet to see a single advertisement coming on the top of the images that I’ve BritePic’ed.

This still seems to be in either Alpha or Beta since many of the BritePic pages on their site just have “Coming soon” written as content.

If you have had success in using BritePic, do drop me a comment.

On the flip side, there is a review which goes contrary to what I’ve written. So, use your own judgement on whether you want to use this feature or not.
