MyBlogLog Vs BlogCatalog Vs BUMPzee: BlogCatalog Review - Part 2/4

BlogCatalog is one of the more popular blog directories on the Internet. It provides features quite similar to MyBlogLog but adds a few additional punches to it!

The BlogCatalog Main Page

Some of the features that go beyond what BlogCatalog provides:

Social Networking: This is a plus point of BlogCatalog. They have a Discussion Forum (see snapshot below) with a few high level subcategories like Saying Hello, Making Money, Shameless Blog Promotion, Blogging Help.
Blog Stats: They provides stats on a similar line to MyBlogLog. The one difference being the ranking they provide to your blog. The rank seems to be in direct proportion to the amount of traffic your site receives, though I am yet to confirm this.
Tagging: The front page captures all the popular tags used across all blogs
Featured Blog: The front page brings up a featured blog. This is a good way of getting additional traffic diverted to your site if you manage to make it to the front page.

Surprisingly, I didn’t find too many independent reviews of BlogCatalog. The few good ones that I found are listed below:
