Google Analytics: Is it worth it?

Google offers a service called Analytics for all web site owners to get statistical information on traffic entering and exiting the website. This is a very useful tool to help fine tune your website.

All you need is a Gmail account to access Analytics. Once you create your Analytics account, there is a small piece of JavaScript code that you need to embed into your site template to enable Google Analytics from tracking the traffic.

    Hey,

    I personally used GA together with Statcounter to provide me with insights to the traffic coming to my blog. GA provides a macro view and has a longer memory while Statcounter (recently upgraded its free log to 500 entries) provides excellent micro view.

    Both are free, so I guess they are the best value for money :)
