Web Advertising for Publishers

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

One source for revenue generation that publishers can look for is advertising. There is no need to host complicated software solutions on your site for this. A few lines of simple JavaScript is all one needs to incorporate.

There are several sites that offer such services. Some of them that I have used in the past or still use are:

Which one works the best for you would primarily depend on the content that you host on your site. Some of them generate ads that are context-sensitive, i.e., the advertisements are selected based on the content on the site. Most of the sites though provide advertisements that are not content-sensitive. So, the one that works for you would purely depend on the content you host. It’s best to try them out to see which is most suitable for your needs.

I will get into details of each of the services in the coming days. Do note that the opinions / reviews are mine and mine alone.

Another good money maker for me is going directly to people who sell products in my niche and asking them if they want to get involved by advertising on my site. Because the niches I have blogs for are very narrowly focused, the marketplace on text-link-ads and reviewme just won’t attract advertisers to my site. Cutting out the middle man and going directly to the companys I know need me helps a lot (I make more money, and I get more advertisers)

What about Chitika.com? I’ve heard about it a lot, is it good, do they pay on time ?
Where can I see feedback from publishers who have already used chitika.
